These piezo-actuator driven clamping tongs are designed to pick up rotationally symmetrical workpieces in areas such as processing, transportation within machines, assembly tasks etc.

The tongs are equipped with three piezo-ceramic actuator stacks. When a direct voltage of 200 V is applied, the clamping mechanism opens and releases the workpiece; when no voltage is applied the mechanism is fixed with a constant and adjustable retention force. The flex joints can be designed to enable both inner and outer clamping jaws.
